After releasing Chance Occurrence, their first single in eight years, back in november 2023, Postal Blue, Brazilian singer-songwriter Adriano do Couto own creature, is back with a new self-released double A-side digital single, I Should Have Known / When You’re Not Here, which will be out tomorrow, February 2nd, via their Bandcamp page.
We, at TRISTE©, have the honour to share with you, in advance, the first song from the single!
What Adriano Says: “These two tracks have been in the works for quite some time. In fact, I Should Have Known dates from the early days of the band, and only now, over 20 years later, is seeing the light of day. It’s a song about changing, and how growing up can both destroy and strengthen relationships.
When You’re Not Here, while more recent, is not a fresh concoction either, since it was written in the same days as For You, which was released in the 2008 Eponymous EP on Cloudberry Records. This is a blatantly romantic love song, even though it features a quite energetic arrangement.
This second track will only be available vai Bandcamp. The single is the second in a series that will culminate with the release of a new album, later this year”.
