Postcards is a Lebanese band formed in the summer of 2012 when cousins Marwan Tohme and Pascal Semerdjian met Julia Sabra. They were joined by Rany on the bass a few months later. Their first EP Lakehouse was released in the fall of 2013, while their second EP What Lies So Still was released in early summer 2015. Here Before EP was released in the spring of 2017 and their first album I’ll be here in the morning was released in early 2018. Their sound, at first influenced by American and English pop folk, evolved in something more complex and articulate with nods to dream pop, noise rock, shoegaze and jangle pop. The Good Soldier, their second album, out in January 2020 was a great step forward for the band’s sound.
The band, now a trio, delivers their third album, the wonderful After The Fire, Before The End in October via German label T3 Records.
