The Last Dinosaur (a musical collective headed by and the brainchild of songwriter Jamie Cameron) returns with his new album “Wholeness”, the third Lp which follows on from critically acclaimed second album “The Nothing” in 2017 and the debut album “Hooray! For Happiness” in 2010.
“Music has always been everything to me,” Cameron elaborates. “It was all I ever truly cared about.” Born in 1984, he grew up a shy, sensitive child in a seemingly contented family in the Essex countryside, drawing comics, making home videos, developing an interest in photography, and immersing himself in a wild variety of different sounds. Initially inspired by his father, who took the family to Cropredy every year to nurse his passion for English folk music – from Fairport Convention to Fotheringay – Cameron soon expanded his horizons to include bands like The Blue Nile, Tears for Fears, Dead Can Dance, World Party, Crowded House and REM, all acts notable for their sincerity, though their effects on his own music are otherwise opaque. “Melody and harmony do something magical to me,” he explains. “I used to sit at the back of the people carrier on drives to France, quietly singing along to the holiday mixtape in a pathetic, weak falsetto to myself, harmonising with the main vocal.”

The Very Most is an indiepop musical project from Boise, Idaho, USA that has been around, in one form or another, since 2002.
Jeremy Jensen writes the songs, sings a lot of them, and plays most of the instruments. The music is influenced by The Smiths, The Beach Boys, Belle and Sebastian, Magnetic Fields, Stereolab, Built to Spill and New Order, but reviewers mention a lot of other bands too.

Before blowing out 10 candles, New Adventures in Lo-Fi are back with a brand new song. Started as a solo Turin based project, they are now a stable three members band: Enrico, Michele and Ettore released “Indigo”, a guitar-based and nostalgic indie rock record – an unusual sound for an Italian band – just two years ago, and today, along with their mixtape, they present the video-premiere of their latest “Double Negative”. The recipe remains intact: an intimate songwriting for a bittersweet and melancholy sound, as if the 90s emo scene met autumn sadcore halfway.

Sam Genders is a founding member of Tunng and around the time of Tunng’s sixth album, 2018’s Songs You Make at Night, he found Max Porter’s novel “Grief is The Thing with Feathers”, and was struck by its power. Its viscerality and rawness and rage. Its beauty and love and connection. He passed Porter’s book around his band members.For months the six band members discussed the subject at length. That they are such a sizeable band, diverse in opinion and perspective, proved helpful. “Because the subject of death is so powerful for people in different ways, we talked about the kinds of issues it might bring up, that we might need to be sensitive about.”

Constant Follower is a Stirling-based band featuring acoustic guitarist/singer/noisemaker Stephen McAll, guitarist Andrew Pankhurst, Amy Campbell on backing vocals and synth, and Kessi Stosch on vocals and bass; hailing from Glasgow, West Yorkshire, Dunblane and Hamburg respectively. Constant Follower began life as McAll’s solo project back in 2017 as a platform for a long-gestating collection of spare and plaintive songs for acoustic guitar and electronics, but started to flesh out into a band setup after meeting guitar player Andrew Pankhurst at a gig and sensing possibilities for adding new dimensions to the songs.
