Caveleon project was born in January 2018, bringing together multi-instrumentalist Leo Einaudi, singer-songwriter Giulia Vallisari, electronic musician Federico Cerati and drummer Agostino Ghetti. The band immediately found an affinity, which, combined with their talent, produced original and evocative sounds, caught somewhere between folk, indie and rock atmospheres immersed in electronic sounds. The result of this sonic research takes the listener into a world that is difficult to define, but surprising in its simplicity and refinement. The vocals Leo and Giulia, the first deep and rough, the second angelic and ethereal, acoustic guitar, avant-garde rhythms, piano and keyboards, and arrangements full of suggestion, lead to imagine being in places that we seem to have known, and at the same time are unexplored. In May 2019 the band released their first EP Caveleon with the Futurissima label, which was followed by an Italian tour. The following year the band found themselves working on new songs and on an ambitious and original project: not a simple album for its own sake, but a concept made up of three EPs: each EP deals with a different theme, but connected to the others. Sometimes and Sometimes I’m Still led to Sometimes I’m Still Drowning, their first album, out in October 2021 for Costello’s.
“Time will find the time to fill itself/ I’m in the landscape/ Oh, you/ Behind the lens that makes me feel so real/ I’m feeling groundless/ Time, time, time/ You’re rushing again through my veins/ You and I/ Around the circle one more time/ You and I/ Catching whirling clouds in my head/ I got lost in another world/ And fell in this ocean/ Catching whirling clouds on my head
I got lost in another world/ And fell in this ocean/ Time will find the time to fill itself/ I’m in the landscape/ Oh, you/ Behind the lens that makes me feel so real/ Time will find the time to fill itself/ I’m in the landscape/ Oh, you/ Behind the lens that makes me feel so real“
“I’ve been blowing words/ but you’re hard to bend./ Whoever you are,/ whatever you do./
I made my mistakes and you let yourself/ fall off, fall off./ A long time ago we used to forget/
Feeling nothing at all/ A long time ago we used to be harder than life/ Were we too young?
Or too headstrong?/ We called it youth/ were we just fools?/ My lungs are burning/ Sweat on my skin/ Feel the taste and the smell of a wild desire/ Gold, you enlighten me in gold/ Were we too young?/ Or too headstrong?/ We called it youth/ to hide the truth/ Were we too young?/ Or too headstrong?/ We called it youth/ were we just fools?/ Were we too young?
Or too headstrong?/ We called it youth/ to hide the truth“

Jeff Buckley – Lilac Wine
A drop of red wine in a glass of water. A pure lullaby.
José González – This Is How We Walk On The Moon
José González is able to paint landscapes and horizons right in front of you.
Atoms For Peace – Default
A mind maze. It feels like overthinking, but with some safe spots to exhale.
